RPD Catalyst, LLC (“Catalyst”) brings a professional approach to providing real estate acquisition financing and refinancing to a tier of the market left underserved by more traditional lenders, especially in today’s world of rising interest rates and capital market volatility. Our experience dates back 35 years and includes all property types and regions of the country.
Catalyst makes loans and investments in residential income and commercial properties, employing a very personalized, hands-on approach to assist prospective borrowers. We look beyond mere credit scores to come up with a financing strategy on terms that make sense for the project and for the borrower.
Our ability to creatively structure loans comes from the specialized experience of our senior team members, who are originally from the borrower/sponsor side of the business, rather than the lending side. This gives Catalyst a distinct advantage over its box-checking competition. At Catalyst, we have the ability to think outside the box.

RPD Catalyst, LLC has broad lending parameters free of the ever-increasing mountains of regulation that banks and other financial institutions face. In addition, we have chosen to remain nonbureaucratic, providing borrowers direct access to senior loan officers. This combination gives a prospective borrower the opportunity to work with the lending team to creatively structure a loan that meets the borrower’s needs. Below are our general loan parameters, none of which is set in stone.

Seasoned Management Team
The senior management team at RPD Catalyst, LLC is second to none. Managing principal Scott Dew has 35 years of experience making investments in multifamily, single-family, office, industrial, retail, and raw land that spans 31 markets and 15 states. Scott relies on the expertise of the senior officers to assist in analyzing and underwriting a loan request and structuring and servicing the loan. Each of the senior officers brings a different set of skills and experience to the collaborative process:
Rosa Tomchak, Chief Financial Officer, who joined Catalyst 14 years ago;
Colleen Hanlon, General Counsel, who joined Catalyst 15 years ago;
Elliot Pachulski, Senior Underwriter and Loan Servicer, who joined RPD 14 years ago; and
Lori Benjamin, Senior Underwriter and Loan Servicer, who has worked with Scott Dew for 30 years.
